The 60 is 60/1000 of an inch (1.5mm) thickness. That particular jump is one I found significant as I've been venturing through quite a few sizes and gauges. WebbFor other slow songs, the trem might equal 32nd or even 64ths. Also, there are loads of different sounding tremolos you can get by varying the strength of the pick attack, the distance from the bridge, whether you're using the edge of the pick or the flat, how much pick is exposed and the thickness of the pick, etc. Hope that helps.
