WebJul 12, 2024 · This is a nice area to camp but not trees for shade. We found a site near the lake and in a few minutes we had a mass of mosquitoes hovering everywhere. This was on June 13, 2024. We did see pelicans which is rare in Colorado. After being somewhat held captive by the mosquitoes, we left. Stayed here in a 21 foot-long Class C (RV).
