Webb28 mars 2024 · March 28, 2024. I’m frequently asked if I use Olympic lifts with our soccer players. The answer is yes but it’s a little more gray than black and white. I think the Olympic lifts and their derivatives are great for teaching basic fundamental movement patterns and generating explosive power. I don’t think anyone would disagree with this. It may be a little bit awkward for novice lifters but in time that discomfort will go away. Overtime this grip will help you hold on to the bar with heavier weights.
